About the Presenter:
Dr. Elaine Wu is a Corneal, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery specialist at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. She is a graduate of Yale University and was a Fulbright scholar in Public Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She received her doctorate degree in medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital where she was awarded the Peter McDonnell research prize. She then obtained subspecialty fellowship training in Corneal, External Diseases, and Refractive Surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami.

Dr. Wu currently practices at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where she is actively involved in research and training of ophthalmology residents. She is a member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology and The American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Dr. Wu’s clinical interests include corneal and external diseases and refractive surgery with a research focus on Descemet stripping endothelial keratoplasty.
