About the Presenter:
Dr Colin Tan is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Clinician-Researcher from the Department of Ophthalmology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He is the undergraduate teaching co-ordinator of the department and a member of the hospital’s Research Committee. He has published extensively in international journals and presented at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. His research interests include epidemiology; vitreoretinal conditions such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy; myopia; visual experiences encountered by patients during ophthalmic surgical procedures; and formed visual hallucinations (Charles Bonnet syndrome).
